MIA to SFO with Delsey Paris Luggage

Happy Sunday guys! Tonight I’m writing you from my bed, totally exhausted with a glass of wine in hand. This past week has been a whirlwind of work events, flights, dinners and more. I flew to San Francisco about a week ago for a work event and had the best time. As you can imagine tho, packing for a week when you have both work and pleasure in mind can be challenging. Normally I’m not a huge fan of checking my luggage but for this trip I knew I had to do it. Luckily this trip lined up perfectly with a very exciting collaboration with Delsey Paris Luggage!

As a Delsey Paris Brand Ambassador, I’ll be sharing some of my top luggage choices from their collection over the next few months. To get things started I had to go big and decided on the CHÂTELET HARD + in a 28″ size. This is a seriously beautiful suitcase, definitely the nicest one I have ever owned! Check out how much I was able to pack into this beauty for my week in SF:

This suitcase really was the perfect way to go for my latest travel adventure. It came with 2 duster style bags which I used for some of my new leather boots (no scuffs please!) and a matching red hanger. The zippers within the bag are super high quality and the bag rolls with incredible ease. Overall it’s really a spectacular piece of luggage and I’m considering getting the same exact one, just in a smaller size so that I can have a matching carry on!

What do you guys look for in that perfect piece of luggage? Let me know in the comments below or on Instagram!

Bacchanal Wine, New Orleans

Happy Saturday guys! Yes, I am reporting live from right outside Hurricane Irma. We are stocked up with food, water, and a ton of booze. Hopefully we don’t get hit that badly, but in the mean time I figured this would be a good way to stay occupied (while we have power). Back in June Jamie and I made another trip back to one of our favorite places, New Orleans. We’re definitely creatures of habit and always visit a few staples when we go, but this past time we found some really amazing new places. One of those being Bacchanal Wine! Bacchanal is NOLA’s backyard party. It looks like a small roadside market but once you go inside, it’s wall to wall lined with the most incredible selection of wine.

Hello, April

Happy Monday guys! Not only is it Monday, but it’s also April. Sorry but… how did that happen?! Wasn’t NYE like 2 weeks ago? Man oh man. Well anyways, a new month always brings amazing things so I can’t say I’m unhappy about it. I’ve got a few cool things up on deck for the upcoming weeks that I’m excited to share with you! Check it all out below.

First up, I am partnering up with two awesome new organizations in April for Rove Collective + Collars4Change. If you haven’t read some of my previous posts, these are the 2 ecommerce companies I run/love/go crazy over on a daily basis. I decided that in 2017 I wanted to really push towards more partnerships and products that give back, so I am teaming up with Coastal German Shepherd Rescue where I’ll be donating $10 from every collar sold and $5 for any necklace sold. For Rove, I’ve got a super cute new Palm Tree Necklace and I’ll be donating 25% of the sales from that to the Surfrider Foundation – Miami Chapter. Since moving to Miami, the beach and ocean have become such a huge part of my life and I’m so excited to see what I can do to help out this awesome foundation and to help keep all our beaches and oceans clean!

Also on deck in April is an exciting new partnership with Line39 Wine out of Napa Valley, CA. Keep an eye out on my Instagram for updates on that! And since you can’t ever really have enough wine in your life right, I’m heading up to a fun wine tasting in Ft. Lauderdale on Weds this week! I’m also hosting my first every blogger meetup, so if you are a blogger in the Miami area message me for more info. I would love to meet you!

Needless to say, this is going to be one seriously busy month. Stay tuned to my Instagram for all the fun updates and don’t forget to send me all your South Florida recommendations so I can include them in my travels and meals in April!

Brunch at The Diplomat

Yesterday I had the extreme pleasure of spending the day at The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood. I can’t even begin to list all the amazing things I experienced throughout the day. We started off with Brunch at one of their many restaurants, Point Royal. I was expecting sit down service but was pleasantly surprised by a massive self service brunch! Let me just tell you, this brunch was as gorgeous as the restaurant itself. The girls and I sat at an extra long table and enjoyed several courses of salads, omelets, fresh breads and fruits, even some extra goodies from a massive cheese / meat table, and some good old southern chicken and biscuits!

After brunch we were escorted on a fun little tour of the entire resort grounds. We were able to check out one of the suits (aka the best beach view in town), a few of the other other restaurants (including Diplomat Prime which is now top of my food hit list), a look at the convention center and the brand new Hotel Bar. Every detail throughout the entire hotel was absolutely stunning. I loved all the paintings, the carpet, the pillows and sitting areas, literally I would decorate my dream house just like this place. We also stopped by The Hotel Bar, which much to my surprise and excitiement is known for featuring specialty cocktails made famous by other hotel bars around the world. One particular highlight was a Vieux Carre cocktail, made famous by The Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans. How cool is that?!

We ended the tour down at the pool where we had 2 cabanas reserved for the day. It’s been a while since I’ve had a good cabana day and oh mannn was it heavenly. We wrapped up our day with one last champagne toast, a burst of sunlight, and a promise that we would all make time to come back here for another girls day soon. Checkout some highlights from our day below:

By the way, I do live in Miami and this was such a nice way to get out of the city for the day. It was a quick drive up and the parking was a breeze. I would definitely recommend checking it out. Thanks so much to the Diplomat Resort staff for making this such a memorable day for us. We all had an amazing time and can’t wait to  visit again!
